Innocator

The Great Innovator

An “innovator” is defined as: “a person who introduces new methods, ideas, or products.”

God Himself is the ultimate Innovator, dating all the way back to Genesis 1.

Vs 3: “Then God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.”

Vs 6, 9, 10, 14: “Then God said…and that is what happened.”

Over and over we see that God envisioned, He spoke, and He created.

Vs  26, 27: “Then God said, ‘Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us…So God created human beings in his own image.  In the image of God he created them…’”

As artists, we have been formed and gifted with the SAME ABILITY to envision, speak and create!

Genesis 2:7: “Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.”

By right, we are innovators, not just followers.

While “imitation is the highest form of flattery”, we should be encouraged to forge our own paths and brainstorm new ideas!

Thomas Edison once said, “If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves.”

You may not realize it yet…but #thegreatinnovator resides within you!  What new things are waiting for you to create them?

Artist Spotlight

“Dancing is a gift from God. When I dance, it is like I can talk to God through dance. I communicate with Him by lifting my hands up, moving my feet, and praying to God. I feel free when I dance. Sometimes God tells me how to move my body. When I worship God while dancing, people will be watching me, but that shouldn’t keep me from worshipping God. Sometimes I feel shy when it comes to worship, but I am working on being confident in worshipping in front of people.

Dance is important to me because I am able to express who I am. It makes me feel like my life is complete. I thank God for giving me this gift.”
